Port Bo

Port Bo. This is a programme from a 6 part 1999 series called Songs From A Country Called Spain in which the late Jan Fairley explored the distinctive political and musical traditions to be found within the modern nation. Port Bo is a group of habaneras singers from the Costa Brava. Recorded during the annual habaneras festival at Calella de Palafrugell. Others in the series explored the music of Mallorca, Basque Country, AndalucĂ­a, Galicia and Catalunya.
